NEW TO CASPER ORTHOPAEDICS

HEALTHY BONE CLINIC

Whether you have osteoporosis and need expert care or you want to evaluate your bone health and determine risk of fracture, Casper Orthopaedic Associates can help! Our staff are certified in Fragility care through the National Osteoporosis Foundation and can provide a unique and thorough assessment of your bone health.

Osteoporosis is a disease that affects your bone and can lead to brittle thin bones that break easily. Osteopenia is the early stages of osteoporosis and is more easily corrected with proper management. As we age the thinning of bone is a natural occurrence, however, there are other contributing factors such as age, family history, smoking, and oack of exercise that can accelerate and worsen this process.

Osteoporosis affects 1 in 5 people. If left untreated, 1:2 women and 1:5 men will suffer a fragility fracture in their lifetime. Casper Orthopaedic Associates is committed to providing not only the proper diagnosis but also comprehensive osteopenia/osteoporosis care.

Treatment recommendations are based on a combination of lab results, bone density, lifestyle, and medical history. These factors are all taken into account when determining the appropriate treatment plan. This may not include medications and might focus on lifestyle and safety modifications.

Our goal at Casper Orthopaedic Associates is to treat osteoporosis and prevent fractures through education and clinical care.
